History

The exact date of the birth of Aikido is 1920, and the place is the town of Ayabe. At this time, Morihei Ueshiba was at the stage of emotional failure, his father passed away, and with him two sons. He found solace while studying and applying the philosophy of Oomoto-ke, which later turned to form the basis of aikido. Soon the fame of him spread to all the nearby towns and cities as a brilliant teacher of martial arts. The number of his students grew irreconcilably. In 1922, Ueshiba associated with his mentor, who had previously taught him the art of Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu - Sokaka Takeda. The teacher arrives in Ayabe and helps his former best student, so to speak, to finally join the role of spiritual and physical mentor and become a master of aerobatics.Literally six months later, Takeda presents Ueshiba with a certificate and he goes on his further journey through Japan. So in 1922, Morihei officially creates his own budo and gives it the name Aiki-Bujutsu or Aikido.

Philosophy

The original Japanese school of aikido, which was founded by the creator of this kind of fighting art, had its own unique philosophy. The fact is that it is not even a completely martial art, but rather a subtle philosophy and religion. Morihei Ueshiba for a long time studied the traditional Japanese areas of combat - jujutsu and kenjutsu, and also learned native calligraphy in full scale. On the basis of all this, he created his own combat system, or rather, avoidance of combat, which was in contrast to the traditional bu jutsu (the art of killing). His aikido school teaches each student the same basics of bu-jutsu, but it does not turn them into aggression and, as a result, murder, but into stopping this aggression and suppressing the enemy through techniques that do not cause him significant harm.

aikido club

According to Ueshiba, any manifestation of aggression and the desire to kill leads to mass disharmony. His own martial art is aimed at crushing the attacker with his own power, turning it against himself. Thus, the enemy independently abandons his undertaking and people disperse, restoring harmony and harmony among themselves.

Aikido technique

From the technical side in this martial art, you can highlight certain points. They are the practical basis of Aikido and, initially, learn in theory, and only after that they are transferred to practice. The first is the spirit of unity of Aiki, the second is the safety distance of Ma-ai, the third is the withdrawal from the attack line of Tai Sabaki, the fourth is the withdrawal of the opponent from the equilibrium of Kujushi. Also among the main techniques of this battle can be called timely response, spiral movement, the use of the center of gravity, rotation, dynamics and impact on the equilibrium point of the enemy. An important moment is Ki in aikido - breathing and energy flows that you should catch and use before the battle begins. In general, it can be said that aikido is an art that is based on the natural biomechanics of the human body. Also, there are applied the minimum point effects on certain points, which are produced at the right time and on a specific vector.

The younger generation

Nowadays, aikido for children is popular and in demand. It is even considered fashionable to divert your child to such extracurricular activities. And in this you can find only advantages, since this type of martial art has a positive effect not only on the physical health of the child, but also on his spiritual growth and academic performance. The most important thing is to find an aikido club in which a really good master will teach, who himself has mastered this technique and philosophy perfectly, and can correctly present it to the younger generation. Girls and boys are equally well trained in martial arts. Initially, of course, children go there with the hope that they will be able to become supermen at school and put everyone on their shoulder blades. But, studying in such a club, they become more likely informal leaders. Brain activity improves, performance improves in all subjects. Moreover, aikido for children teaches that aggression and pain is not something that makes them better.

Defense in the real world

What to do if you were attacked in your own yard when you return home late? What if you need to apply one of the combat practicesso to speak in real life conditions? It was for this purpose that the real aikido, or new martial art, was created, which is completely based on the achievements of Ueshiba, but adapted to the modern world. The author of such techniques is a Serb - Lubomir Vracharevich. His technique is aimed at the most rapid neutralization of the attacker and further control over him. It is also worth saying that the real aikido is much more rigid techniques, grabs and blows, although they are aimed solely at self-defense. When studying this type of martial art, in the hall, students attack each other, in order to reproduce the real threat and learn how to properly get rid of it.
