Currently, aircraft manufacturers are actively developing to create advanced aviation systems for various applications. The most important difference between promising and existing aviation complexes is a significant expansion in the range and quality of the tasks they perform.The decision of the latter, in turn, is provided through the use of new computing systems, not only meeting the modern requirements of efficiency and reliability, but also specially designed taking into account the prospects for scaling and upgrading the system without the need for a radical revision of the architecture and software processing.
Today, the most actively developing technology for building computing systems of this type is the concept of Integrated Modular Avionics of Combat Complexes (IMA BK), which is a parallel branch of the evolution of civil technology of Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA), widely used by manufacturers of civilian aircraft for over 10 years. It was used to create an on-board digital computer based on the principles of integrated modular avionics of combat complexes (BTsVM IMA BK), designed to build information and control systems for a promising front-line aviation complex - the Su-57 (T-50) aircraft.

Multifunctional indicators for the PAK FA
The main postulate of the IMA BC concept from the hardware point of view is the rejection of the concept of on-board computer as a separate entity of the computing complex in favor of a set of standardized standardized modules combined into a single deterministic redundant network environment.
From a software point of view, the IMA BC declares the principle of abstraction of software (software) not only from the specifics of its executing processor by means of a standardized interface with the real-time operating system (OS PB), but also from the specifics of system hardware (controllers, coprocessors, etc.) by introducing concepts of abstract drivers and standardization of interfaces with them. These two basic principles of the IMA BC, supplemented by a number of other, less significant ones, provide the ability to create efficient, reliable and at the same time well-scalable computing systems of the new generation.

Testing IMA BK in the scientific and technical center of information and control systems of the company "Sukhoi"
At present, it is precisely on the basis of the IMA technology that BC Sukhoi Company has developed an information management system (IMS) of a promising aviation front-line aviation system - the Su-57 aircraft.The basis for the construction of this IMS is an on-board digital computer based on the principles of an IMA BK (BTsVM IMA BK), created by JSC GRPZ according to the technical specification of PJSC “Company“ Sukhoi ”.
The SU-57 I & C system consists of two on-board computers IMA BC connected to a single high-speed redundant network based on a serial Fiber Channel interface with a specially developed deterministic profile.
Each onboard computer IMA BC contains the following modules:
- 2 data processor modules based on a multi-core processor;
- A graphics controller module based on a multi-core processor and a graphics co-processor;
- I / O module based on a multi-core processor;
- Fiber Channel switch module;
- 2 power supply modules;
- case with a backplane (KP).
For the interaction of the on-board computer IMA BC with external systems of the onboard electronic equipment (avionics) of the aircraft, the following interfaces are supported:
- multi-channel optical duplex Fiber Channel interface (24 channels, 1 Gbaud);
- output optical channels of graphic information Fiber Channel (2 channels, 1 Gbaud);
- optical fiber input channels of Fiber Channel graphic information (3 channels, 1 Gbaud);
- RCF according to GOST 18977 - 79 (ARINC - 429, 8 PRD / 16 PRM);
- PK according to GOST 18977 - 79 (16 PRD / 24 PRM);
- MKIO according to GOST P 52070-2003 (MIL-STD 1553B, 4 channels with a reserve);
- service bus based on ARINC 825 interface.
The presence of a developed system of external interfaces (including optical ones) allows for the effective integration of individual elements of avionics into a single system that differs, including increased reliability, through the implementation of various methods of hardware and software backup of ILE elements.
BTsVM IMA BK is made in a small sealed enclosure with forced air cooling and is intended for operation in harsh mechanical and climatic conditions in accordance with the requirements for military aviation equipment. The power supply of the onboard computer is carried out from the direct current network (onboard network) +27 V in accordance with the requirements for category I receivers.
Currently, the onboard computer ICA BC has passed preliminary and interdepartmental tests with positive results, successfully passes flight tests as part of the I & C system of the Su-57 aircraft.
The development of this on-board computer based on the concept of an IMA BC allowed to create on its basis the information and computing system of the Su-57 aircraft, featuring a wide range of tasks,increased reliability and the possibility of further deep modernization, which allowed, in turn, to a large extent, to ensure high flight and technical and combat characteristics of the aircraft as a whole.
Essentially, the onboard computer IMA BC for the I & C system of the Su-57 is a leader project for creating a computing system in accordance with the principles of the IMA BC, the successful implementation of which opens up broad opportunities for application in promising aviation complexes, including the long-range aviation complex aviation (PAK YES) and the aircraft of the sixth generation.
