How do you spell it together?
Russian is difficult not only for foreign residents, but also for us, native speakers. Much of it is based on the understanding of the meanings of words and on the knowledge of the rules. How is it written together, more precisely, when it is written “together”, and when - “in place”?
It is very easy to distinguish. “Together” is an adverb that answers the question “how?”, And it is written together, it means joint action with someone or something. For example: "I went for a walk with a dog." I went for a walk how? Together with the dog.
“In Place” is a noun with a preposition that is in the prepositional case (question: what?). For example: "In the place where the treasure is buried." Here we have in mind a certain area, the area in which the treasure is buried. You can ask the question: in what place? The answer is: where is the treasure buried? Between the noun and the preposition, you can put an adjective or pronoun, and the sentence will not lose its logic: “in the place where the treasure is buried”; "In a secret place where the treasure is buried."
So, to understand how to write - “together” or “in place”, pay attention to the meaning of the word in a specific expression and try to insert a new word in the combination. If a word denotes a subject, and an adjective or pronoun does not spoil the logic, then you have a noun with a preposition, and you need to write "in place." If a word denotes consistency of action with someone, and it is not possible to correctly insert a word into a combination, then you will have an adverb, and you need to write “together”. A distinctive feature of the adverb "together" is also the presence of a number of the preposition "with": "together with".
