Summed up the chain mail Ermaka

Summed up Yermak Yermak's chain mail, in general, the Cossacks, Siberia, then, a detachment, only, atamans, Timofeevich, it is known, the khanate, turn out to be Chusovoi, huge, Yermak, quickly, Yermak, died, possessions, detachments

It is believed that around these August days of 1585, more precisely, on the night of August 16, the Cossack ataman Yermak Timofeyevich finished his works in this world, after Siberians attacked his small detachment at night. Yermak died in a night battle, according to one of the legends he drowned in the heavy chain mail given to him by the king. However, honestly, it is not known exactly how he died. And in general about one of the most famous conquerors of Siberia, whose squad, in fact, opened the way to Siberia for Russians, is not reliably known very much. Similarly, in general, you can only talk about his campaign.
Neither his date nor place of birth is known. Even by the name of the agreement can not. Ermak Timofeevich. Is Yermak a nickname, abbreviation, name? Did he have a last name? Most likely, there were no names in those times and only noble people had a long time. And Ermak, apparently, was not notable. He was agile, strong, tenacious, and quick to think. Otherwise I would not become a Cossack chieftain.
It is known that Yermak managed to participate in the Livonian war, in raids on Lithuania. But already in June 1581 the Cossacks hired by the Stroganovs turned out to be on Chusovoi, in the domain of the merchants. For two months, the Cossacks of Yermak and other chieftains who went with him defended the townships along Chusovoi, and then in September set out on a campaign beyond the Urals.
The Cossacks spent the winter on passes, and then in the spring of 1582 find themselves in the possessions of the Siberian Khanate. And it turned out that less than a thousand people who have a firearm, it is enough for the Khanate to collapse. In the decisive battle, Yermak defeated Khan Kuchum and occupied his capital Kashlyk, capturing a bunch of treasures.
Well, then, Ermak begins to tax local yasak, leading them under the oath to the Russian Tsar. Do not think that everything is so easy for him at once to take and submit. Almost everywhere the local Tatars stubbornly resisted, the detachments sent by Yermak were ambushed, he himself was blocked in Kashlyk for a long time. The Cossacks who came to Siberia, so quickly defeated the Siberian Khanate, became less and less. It was not easy to hold a huge land with small forces.
In the end, in one of the raids with a small detachment ran into Ermak. Only one Cossack survived, who managed to get to Kashlyk. After that, the Cossacks gathered at the circle and decided to go back. The remnants of the troops took one of the last surviving chieftains who came with Ermak - Matvey Meshcheryak.
But the avalanche was already unstoppable. While the bloodless squad commanded by Meshcheryak went west, new squads were already heading east. And in a few years they will pass and conquer the whole vast Siberia.
And Ermaka let down the chain mail.
